Michelle Ruehl
Executive Director: Michelle Ruehl is an active duty Air Force pilot with a certification as both a PATH Therapeutic Riding Instructor and an Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning (ESMHL). As a military officer, she moved many times and volunteered at therapeutic riding centers all over the country. After a year of working with the remarkable children in the local community, she wanted to narrow the focus and work more with military families, so she founded Parwana camps to bring together Air Force Academy Graduates and Friends who could serve veterans and their children by offering summer leadership adventures. michelle@parwanaleadership.org
Justin von hofe
Treasurer: Justin Von Hofe is a native of Ann Arbor, Michigan where he learned carpentry skills from his father. After serving 12 years as an Air Force C-17 Evaluator and Instructor pilot, he transitioned to flying for Southwest Airlines. He has an MBA in Business/Finance and he volunteers his time doing barn construction and maintenance at Pikes Peak Therapeutic Riding Center and the Dom Cimino center at Norris Penrose Equestrian Center.
Holly Van Liere
Executive Director and Secretary: Holly Van Liere grew up near Lajes Air Base in the Azores. She graduated from the Air Force Academy in 2003 and served as an Intelligence Officer for ten years before leaving active duty to earn her M.A. in Social Work from Denver University. She has worked with many military families and the national Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) program, mentoring children of veterans. She lives in Denver and has a passion for serving others in the community.
ALLYSON HARTENBURG
Horse Expert: Allyson is a horse woman through and through! She offers riding lessons, equine training, and equine body work in the local area. She has been an equestrian team coach and a professional businesswoman. Check out her website: http://hartenburgequestrian.com/index.php/services
